Registration and Abstracts
The registration and abstract submission is done at once via an online registration system here. If you want to register, please have your abstract ready. After your abstract is accepted, you will be notified and provided instructions for the payment of the fee. Registration link below. Read about the abstract submission and presentation form first.
Abstract submission and presentation forms
Upon registration you will be asked to submit one A5 page abstract of your contribution. Templates can be downloaded here:
You will be also asked to specify the prefered presentation form - the presentation forms are the following:
- Poster - classic presentation poster. Poster stands will be provided. The largest size that fits on the poster stands is the A0 paper size. All posters should be vertical. The Retreat does not require a whole new poster, you can present a poster that you have already presented elsewhere (or that you are planning to present in the future).
- Talk - 8 minutes of presentation on stage in front of the audience + 2 minutes for disucssion. All the presentation equipment will be provided, all you have to do is prepare the slides.
- Video - this is an option for the PhD freshmen mostly. If you are afraid, that you cannot present any results or have not established a method to aproach your topic yet, prepare a short video presentation of your lab and/or the equipment that you use. The videos will be playing on the screen during the poster session. Even if you are planning to make the video, you still have to upload an abstract in order to register - describe what you do and what will be in the video. The ideal length of the video should not exceed 5 minutes.
The number of talks is limited to approximatelly 30. Abstracts will be reviewed by the organizers and some of them will be selected for a talk. Unfortunately, we can't promise you that you will get the talk, if you ask for it.
All the abstracts will be published in Book of Abstracts. See previous issues here.
